untangling my thoughts

FINDING FOCUS IN MY CROCHET JOURNEY

Hey there, and welcome to my very first blog post for valentinART!

I want to be real with you—starting and running a small crochet business is not always as cozy as the yarn I work with. Lately, I’ve been stuck in my head, overthinking everything about my brand. I have so many ideas swirling around—new designs, color combos, eco-friendly concepts—but somehow, I end up making… nothing.

Why? Because I overthink. A lot.

I’ll scroll through the internet, excited about a new idea, only to see someone else has already made something similar. Suddenly, it feels like I can’t make it anymore. I don’t want my work to seem like I’m copying someone else, even if my idea came from a genuine place. It’s this constant loop of comparison that leaves me feeling stuck and uninspired.

But here’s the thing—I know I need to break this cycle. valentinART was never meant to be about rushing to keep up with trends or competing with others. It’s about sustainability, creativity, and encouraging people to make their own beautiful things. It’s about slowing down, learning something new, and loving the process.

So, I’m taking a step back to sort through my thoughts and plan ahead—both for the coming months and the year. I want to focus on creating pieces that align with my values and share that journey with you. My goal has always been bigger than just crochet; it’s about making the world a little more thoughtful, handmade, and kind.

There are some exciting changes on the horizon! I’m moving soon, which means a fresh space for new inspiration. Plus, a brand-new crochet pattern will be dropping next month, and I’m currently planning some fun events that I can’t wait to share with you.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in overthinking or struggled with creative blocks, know that you’re not alone. And if you’re on your own handmade journey, I’m cheering for you. Let’s create a world where making things with love matters more than making them fast.

Thanks for being here and supporting this little dream of mine. I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes us.

Stay happy,
Valentina
